At the moment, you can’t register without a teacher or group leader signing up first (sorry- it's all part of keeping you safe online!)
Why not get one of your teachers or a youth group leader to register your school with Rafi.ki so you and all the other members of your class or group can get access to our communication tools.
Need a few hints on how to convince them?
1. Pick a teacher or leader - This should be someone you think is interested in linking their classroom to the world. It could be a geography teacher, languages teacher, or someone from any subject that you know is interested in international issues (you could maybe find out which teacher went on the most interesting holiday this year).
2. Tell them about Rafi.ki - and what it can offer them! You may want to say that it's designed for linking schools around the world, that they can access full lesson plans and that it's a safe, moderated site. If they have a computer at the school, why not take them to the site and show them what it's all about?
3. Show them how to sign up. Give them the web address - www.v3.rafi.ki - and tell them to select 'sign up' on the homepage. Easy! Make sure they know how little effort is involved on their part.
4. Chase them up! If they know you're interested, they're more likely to sign up, so don't forget to remind them next time you see them.
And that’s it! With this handy list you should be able to convince even the grouchiest teacher that Rafi.ki is the way to go. Even on a Monday morning.
